Hi, My name is Sally, I'm 15 years old and met Savage Garden
and a few of their band members back in 97' when they did a gig in Melbourne.
I was lucky enough to meet Darren and Daniel through a magazine comp, and they
were the sweetest guys ever! I met them after their show and told them how
great I thought the show was (i won 4th row) they were very kind and heaps
funny! I didn't get to talk to them for a long time though because they
both weren't feeling that good.
Anyway, I asked them who their band was and Daz said they hired them to be their
backing band for live stuff. I said the band was heaps talented, and Dan
told me if I wanted to meet them, they were just down the hall! then d&d had
to leave, and talk to the ed of the magazine (who I won the comp off) and I went
looking for the band! finally I found the singers (Bess-Serena&Jeni) I think
they were a bit surprised that I wanted their autographs, but gladly signed
them. I asked them about Savage Garden, and stuff and they answered all my
questions with a smile on their faces (they MUST have been bored with me!) then
Jeni left cos she wasn't feeling too well either, and Bess told me the drummer,
Glen, was probably gonna be around here soon. she left and I waited a few
minutes, but then the ed of the magazine came and I had to go , even though my
meeting with Jeni and Bess was very brief, I could still tell they were very
nice girls, they have great voices, and are such good entertainers!
I went to a Savage Garden concert way back in 97' in Brisbane. I'm not really a fan, but the tickets were cheap, and my sister ADORES them. So I went with my friend since we had to stay up late to fly home. The concert was okay. I'm still not really into them, but they are very talented, I must admit that. The lead singer had a fantastic voice, and Daniel is pretty cute! Anyways, after the show my friend made me come with her to the car park to meet them. I was really tired, and couldn't really be bothered, but still went. We met Daniel, and he had a really nice smile. I told him the concert was good, and he just smiled and said "Thanx. Reallly, thanx very much," He was a sweetie. Then we met one of their backing singers (her name is Bess) and she was sweet too. I didn't talk to her much, my friends and her talked a bit more. She has a beautiful voice, and she is very pretty. Then we saw this guy Lee and he was such a legend! (not to mention a flirt!) he was cool! And he gave us directions to the airport! There was also the drummer, and a few other people but they were on the other side of the car park. Then some fans came, so we left. But Savage Garden and their band are very cool people.
